Jingba has existed for 4,000 years. The prototype of the door god "Qilin" is Jingba. The appearance of Pekingese is very similar to that of a lion, so it is also called a lion dog. Ancient people worshiped it as a god and believed it could drive away evil spirits. Civilians must salute after splashing in Beijing. If someone dares to steal this kind of dog, they will be sentenced if caught. When some emperors died, they would be buried with Jingba. In the late Opium War, Pekingese dogs were introduced to the West, but when the British army attacked Beijing, the emperor ordered all of them to be killed in order to prevent these puppies from falling into the hands of the British army. However, 5 Pekingese dogs survived and were brought to England by the British army, and one was given to Queen Victoria. Later, the surviving Pekingese dogs were bred and their numbers continued to increase, so this type of dog became very common today.

It can be seen from the name that the Shih Tzu is produced in China. In 1908, after the death of Empress Dowager Cixi, Shih Tzus began to be transported to Europe. In 1935, the Shih Tzu Club was established in the UK, and then the Shih Tzu spread from the UK to other European countries, and also to Australia. During World War II, Shih Tzus were brought to the United States. Shih Tzus have also become masters at catching rats. It is said that there is a Shih Tzu named Bao Bao. Although he is 12 years old, he is very good at catching mice. Since the owner lives on the first floor, there are often mice in the kitchen, but with the baby around, the mice do not dare to come out of their holes easily.
