The ears of a kitten that is two months old are very dirty. It may be that the owner has not cleaned the kitten's ear regularly, and it is bacterial infection, fungal infection or parasite infection. If the ears are not cleaned regularly, you can use ear cleaning liquid to clean the kitten's ear canal, and then gently wipe away the dirt in the kitten's ear with a cotton swab. If it is caused by an infection, you can use the corresponding medicine for ear washing treatment. If the infection is serious, it is recommended to seek medical treatment in time.

1. Why do cats’ ears dirty?

1. Bacterial infection. When the kitten's ears are always in a humid environment, such as the environment is wet or the owner does not blow dry it in time after bathing the cat, it can easily lead to bacterial growth. After the kitten's ears are infected, foul smelly, yellow, and purulent secretions will be produced. The owner can use drugs to treat bacteria with ear washing treatment. If the infection is serious, it is recommended to seek medical treatment in time.

2. Fungal infection. After the kitten's ear is infected by fungi, frequent scratching due to itching of the ear, poor appetite, listlessness, and black earwax accumulation in the ear canal. The owner can use drugs to treat fungi for ear drop treatment and clean the cat's ears. If the fungal infection is more serious, please go to the pet hospital for medical treatment in time.

3. Parasite infection. When a kitten has close contact with a cat with ear mites or has insects in the environment, the kitten's ears are easily infected by parasites such as ear mites. A large amount of dry, dark brown debris will appear in the kitten's ear canal, causing itching and redness of the ear canal. It is recommended that the owner use ear cleansing liquid to clean the ear canal for the kitten, and then use ear drops to treat ear mites.

2. How to protect cat ears?

The ears are not cleaned regularly. When the owner does not clean the ears of the kitten regularly, the secretions of the kitten's ears will accumulate to form ear wax. If there is a lot of dust in the living environment, the accumulation speed will be accelerated. It is recommended that the owner use 1-2 earwash droplets into the ear canal, close the kitten's ear ear to cover the ear canal, press the base of the ear with his hands and rub it gently several times, release his hands and let the kitten shake the earwash in the ear canal and use a cotton swab to clean the internal organs of the cat's ear canal.
