According to the British BBC, Greenwood is expected to represent the Jamaica national team, which may be achieved as soon as next month.
Greenwood has never played for England since completing his debut against Iceland in September 2020.
Now, Greenwood has obtained a Jamaica passport. To represent the Jamaica national team, the FA only needs to issue a relevant transfer permit to the Jamaica Football Association.
If it goes well, Greenwood will be able to represent Jamaica in the World Cup next month against Trinidad and Tobago.
Naturalization Greenwood is the Jamaica Football Association's program, led by former England coach McLaren, aiming to attract players growing up in the UK through family ties.
