The Dutch Telegraph reported that Sunderland wanted to introduce Ajax striker Broby before closing the window, who did not make it to Ajax's squad last weekend's league.

It is reported that Sunderland has contacted Ajax and hopes to sign the striker and has submitted its first offer. They need to race against time to finalize the deal before the England transfer window is closed.

Brobi did not make Ajax's roster in the Eredivisie last weekend. After talking to Broby, coach Hetinga learned that the latter was not in the game at the time. Heatinga gave Broby time and space to handle the transfer.

At the beginning of the transfer window, the transfer seemed to be within reach for Brobie, but he refused Cuomo's offer and was unwilling to join Rennes, and Lille and Roma did not take any further action.

Premier League promoted Sunderland now hopes to bring in Brobia by buzzer. If the deal is reached, Ajax must act quickly, and the Dutch transfer window is closed 16 hours later than the England transfer window.

Brobi is a player trained by Ajax's youth training system. He played in 163 games for Ajax, contributing 56 goals and 24 assists. After playing for a brief time at Red Bull Leipzig, Ajax bought him back for €16.25 million in the summer of 2022. At first, technical director Cross originally hoped to sell Broby for a total of €25 million this summer.

In addition, Fulham also had contact with Ajax last Sunday, but the farmer wanted to bring in Broby on loan, which was not Ajax's option.
