The Independent Appeals Committee partially upheld Nottingham Forest’s appeal against a breach of FA Rule E20.1.
On Sunday, October 6, 2024, after a large-scale conflict occurred in the Premier League, the Football Association accused Nottingham Forest and Chelsea of violating FA Rule E20.1. It is alleged that they failed to ensure that their players did not behave inappropriately and/or provocatively around the 88th minute, a charge accepted by both clubs.
After the hearing, the Independent Regulatory Commission fined Nottingham Forest 125,000 pounds and Chelsea 40,000 pounds.
Nottingham Forest subsequently appealed the penalty. The Appeal Committee partially upheld the appeal after a hearing and reduced the club's fine to £112,000.
