This is Manchester United's first victory since the start of the Premier League in the new season. They lost to Arsenal and Fulham, and then drew with the English League Two team Greensby in the middle of the week and were eliminated after losing to the penalty.
This is also Manchester United's first victory in August: they have 4 draws and 1 loss in the previous five games (winning Fiorentina at the penalty and losing Greensby at the penalty), and finally won the last game of this month.
