According to Greek media Amna, Arsenal is close to signing Greek talented midfielder Konstantinos Karetsas, with a total transfer fee of 45 million euros. Arsenal plans to lease Caresas back to Henk for a year immediately after completing the deal so that the 17-year-old can gain more game experience and better integrate into the team in the 2026-27 season.

During the game for Henk, Caresas performed well. At the national team level, he helped Greece defeat Scotland 3-0, and this game became one of his masterpieces. Although he is under 18, many giants including Chelsea, Manchester United and new Champions League champion Paris Saint-Germain have shown strong interest in him. However, Arsenal seems to have gained an advantage in this battle and have conducted in-depth negotiations with Genk on the transfer.

If this deal ends up, then Caresas will become the player with the highest transfer fee and value in Greek football history. The previous record holder was Manoras, who joined Naples from Rome for a transfer fee of 36 million euros in 2019.
