Rooney: One of the biggest factors that I succeeded at Manchester United was playing PSP, which made me communicate more with my teammates

Recently, Rooney said on the BBC podcast "Roone Show" that his success at Manchester United was partly attributed to the communication established by team members when playing games on the bus. He and his teammates often played the five-on-five military game "SOCOM" on PSP.

Rooney won five Premier League titles and one Champions League title under Sir Ferguson. He said: "I really believe that one of the factors that make us successful is playing PSP, which makes us communicate more. We play this game on planes and on team buses."

"Usually it's me playing with Leo Ferdinand, Carrick, O'Shea, Wes Brown. You have to communicate, you have to be the right tactics, and you have to revive someone when they are 'killed'. This has played a huge role in our success. Just ask those players and you will know. It's really great."

Rooney also mentioned that his teammates are swimming. The style shown in the play also reflects their performance on the court: "How you play in the game reflects the style of the player on the court. Carrick is a calm and a little cunning player. He will hide somewhere to throw grenades. I rushed directly to the front line and go deep into the enemy."

However, not everyone likes this way of playing, and Van der Sar has a lot of complaints about it: "Van der Sar will be very angry because we yell on the team bus and tell others where we are. Sometimes if there is only one player left, we will surround the other through communication. Van der Sar will be displeased because of this, try to stay away from us!"
