Recently, former England international Sheringham was interviewed by The Mirror, saying that Nuno publicly criticized club owner Marinakis for doing it on purpose before being fired by Nottingham Forest.
Marinakis replaced Nuno with Postkoglu this week, and Sheringham, who played for Nottingham Forest and Tottenham, said: "I think his departure is a foregone conclusion after he publicly criticized his relationship with the chairman. I think he did it intentionally to push himself out of the club."
Sheringham believes Nottingham Forest has found a good replacement, and he said, "Good luck to him, recalling Postkoglu said he wanted to win some honors when he was at Tottenham, and I know how difficult it is to win as a professional player. There is not much to fight for every season, and he said he will win something, and he did in the end. I am happy for him and am relieved that he has found a new job."
"I was very disappointed when he lost his job at Tottenham. People are always talking about the team's bad position in the league, but that didn't affect how I think of him. He went all out to win something and succeeded, and that's what Tottenham longed for years. I think he would do well with the Forests too."
"I believe that after two years of Premier League experience, he has learned a lot and may need to make some adjustments. But the football that Tottenham has played sometimes in the last two years is amazing. So I wish Postkogru good luck and I think he will do a good job."
Levi left Tottenham this week, ending his 24-year presidential career, during which he brought two trophys to the team, including the Europa League this May. Sheringham said: "Who knows what will happen next, for better or worse. I've always supported him and I think he's made a huge contribution to the club. But you always want to be better, always want to get more trophys. If this change is for further improvement, let it go."
"They just won the trophy, so they're on the right path. We don't know what's going on behind the scenes, so what will happen in the future will be very interesting."
