TA famous reporter David Ornstein latest news, although Newcastle United stressed that it had no intention of selling Swedish striker Isaac, Isaac himself has made it clear that he is unwilling to play for the team again.

With Liverpool's continued pursuit, Isaac has not participated in the Newcastle preseason, and he is not expected to play against Aston Villa with the team. Even though he stayed at the team after the transfer window was closed, Isaac believed that his career in Newcastle was over and refused to reintegrate with the team.

Isaac's position was that when he was told last summer that Newcastle needed to comply with the financial rules of football and that his existing contract (expired in 2028) was already quite generous, the club would not offer him a new contract for the time being, he made it clear that this would be his last season with the team.

Newcastle denied that he had made such a statement and believed that the striker originally planned to discuss the future after the end of the 2024-25 season, including the possibility of a contract renewal.

Isaac helped the team win the League Cup and qualify for the Champions League. Two weeks before the end of the season, he expressed his willingness to leave the team to head coach Eddie Howe, and reiterated the decision to the coach by phone after losing to Everton in the final game of the season and before flying to Sweden.

Liverpool has not submitted a new offer since its £110 million offer was rejected in early August. If Liverpool can make a offer of nearly £150 million and Newcastle can find a replacement in the transfer market, the club's position may be loose.

Liverpool's interest remains firm, while Isaac's attention is entirely focused on the transfer to Anfield.

Isaac is 25 years old, and Germany has a price of 120 million euros. He joined Newcastle for 70 million euros in the summer of 2022. He has played for three years and has made a total of 109 appearances and contributed 62 goals and 11 assists. Isaac has three years left in contract with Newcastle.
