Chairman of the Singapore Federation of Industry and Commerce and Industry Association Lin Mingyan stepped down early and Zhang Songsheng re-elected as chairman

Zhang Songsheng (70 years old) is currently the Executive Chairman of Taiping Shipping (PIL). He served as chairman of the Singapore Federation of Industry and Commerce from 2014 to 2020, completing a term of up to three terms, and was then taken over by Lin Mingyan (62 years old) to this day.

He pointed out that as the chairman of the Internationalization Action Committee of the Federation of Industry and Commerce, Zhang Songsheng has been actively promoting the Federation's work in regional integration and global expansion.

The Singapore Federation of Industry and Commerce and Industry announced the news unexpectedly in the evening of Tuesday (May 20).

Guo Bingxun also said that looking forward to the future, I believe that Zhang Songsheng's global vision and rich experience will become the key force in promoting the General Assembly to continue to fulfill his mission.

When the Singapore Federation of Industry and Commerce released the news, the Singapore Federation of Industry and Commerce described the change as a "leadership transition" and did not mention the reason for resigning before the term expired.

Lin Mingyangang was once again the chairman of the Singapore Federation of Industry and Commerce and Industry in June last year, and his two-year term has not yet exceeded half. He just served as chairman of Changi Airport Group (CAG) seven weeks ago. Changi Airport is building the Fifth Fleeter Building (T5) to launch a new stage of growth.

Executive President of the Federation of Industry and Commerce of Singapore Guo Bingxun said in a statement: "Lin Mingyan demonstrated outstanding leadership during the period of profound changes in the Federation of Industry and Commerce of China and played a key role, especially in leading the Federation through the difficult stage of the COVID-19 crisis."

Chairman of the Singapore Federation of Industry and Commerce (SBF), Lin Mingyan, has stepped down early and will be taken over by former Chairman Zhang Songsheng, which will take effect from now on.
