How to clean silk clothes

1. Before washing, silk clothes should not be rubbed on rough items or washed with a washing machine. Special silk detergents should be used when washing, or neutral soap liquid can be selected. You cannot use laundry detergents, alkaline detergents, soaps, laundry detergents or other detergents. Never use disinfectant, otherwise it will turn yellow or wrinkle. Use soap to wash directly. The fatty acid anions produced by the soap in water will combine with the calcium and magnesium ions in the water to form precipitates of fatty acid calcium and fatty acid magnesium that are insoluble in water. This precipitate is very sticky, and the silk has a positive charge, so it is difficult to rinse it once it is precipitated on silk clothes.

2. Cleaning

When washing, the water temperature should be at room temperature, at about 30 degrees. Use your hands to stir the detergent in your hands before putting it in the clothes. The soaking time should not exceed 15 minutes, and then rub it gently. Do not rub it with a hard brush or on the washing board. To protect the color of the clothes, you can put another basin of clean water after cleaning, add two or three drops of vinegar, soak for 5 minutes to remove. Do not twist when washing, but should be gently shaken open, and spread the back side outward. Do not overlap or fold and dry to avoid stains.

3. Do not wrung the silk clothes when drying, and the moisture content should be about 10%. It is generally best to hang it on the clothes rack with water and place it in a cool place to dry.

4. When ironing, it is recommended to use steam hot when ironing, that is, do not stick the iron directly to the clothes, lift it up slightly, and keep a certain distance from the clothes, so that the luster remains unchanged and wearable. The iron temperature should not be higher than 130℃, otherwise the silk clothing will damage or "brittle" and affect the wear lifespan. Do not spray water during ironing to avoid water stains and affect the appearance. If the ironing is not done, you can put it in a plastic bag when the clothes are 70% dry and touch it flat with your hands. You can also use it to dry it, fold it flat, put it in the plastic bag, seal the mouth, and put it in the freezer for 12 hours to freeze it for 12 hours.
