The larger the refrigerator, the cheaper the power supply? Financial planner analyzes the 3 major key points behind

Refrigerators are probably one of the 24-hour home appliances that are "free all year round" in the home. According to the Japanese Ministry of Energy's statistics, household refrigerators consume 17.8% of the day in summer, making them the second largest energy-consuming appliance, and the cooling rate is the first. Japanese family financial planner Kumi Omura pointed out an unexpected fact: large refrigerators save more electricity than small refrigerators.

The larger the refrigerator, the more electricity it saves

According to data from the Japanese government's Ministry of Environment, the electricity costs of large household refrigerators are lower than those of small and medium-sized refrigerators.

{

For example, compared with the refrigerator produced by the same manufacturer, the capacity of a small refrigerator with a capacity of 170L is 306 degrees per year, the annual electricity consumption is about NT$2,045, the annual electricity consumption is about NT$2,195.

However, if you change to a large refrigerator of 465L to 507L, the annual electricity consumption is about 253 degrees, and the power fee is about NT$1,678, which saves more than 300 pieces of money than a small refrigerator.

Why is a large refrigerator more power-saving?

It turns out that this difference is mainly due to the refrigerator structure and energy mechanism. Large-capacity refrigerators usually have variable frequency, vacuum heat isolation and other stage energy designs, while small-capacity refrigerators are cheap and their performance is not as good as large refrigerators. The following three elements are the power saving keys of large refrigerators:

1. The voltage converter performance is better. Traditional small and medium-sized refrigerators can only move at a fixed speed and power, while large refrigerators with variable frequency will automatically adjust the motor speed, which is more efficient in controlling temperature, and reduce the transfer frequency at appropriate times to achieve power saving effects.

2. Large refrigerators have better performance

Large refrigerators usually use vacuum insulation materials, so that the refrigerator can be maintained at the optimal temperature, which will naturally save electricity.

3. The use of internal space will also affect the consumption of electricity. In addition to energy technology, the use of refrigerators will also affect the consumption of electricity. In small refrigerators, food is usually filled with stuff, causing the cold air to not be circulated normally, reducing operating efficiency. If the refrigerator has a larger space to store food, this situation can be avoided.

In addition to considering size, the "performance" of refrigerators is also a key to power saving, and the bigger it is, the more it saves. A refrigerator that has been used for several decades is definitely not as powerful as a new type of variable frequency refrigerator. The annual power consumption may be more than half. In recent years, the Taiwan government has provided assistance to the replacement of home appliances, so the public can make more use of it.
