The market has been released, and Microsoft Corp. has obtained more than 100,000 NVIDIA (Nvidia Corp.)'s latest "GB300" AI servers through a protocol signed with Nebius Group NV.
Bloomberg quoted an unnamed source on the 2nd that the agreement between WeChat and Nebius is worth up to $19.4 billion, and will provide the required computing capacity for a team of internally developing large language models (LLMs) and AI assistants for consumers.
Nebius itself is a Dutch AI-based construction supplier that has received NVIDIA's inclusion. On September 8, it announced that it had received orders worth $1 billion in WeChat. Nebius signed a multi-year agreement with Microsoft. Its data center, located in Vineland, New Zealand, will provide GPU computing power for Microsoft later this year.
The so-called neocloud refers to a group of small infrastructure providers that rent AI computing power. In addition to Nebius, Microsoft has also signed contracts with CoreWeave Inc., Nscale and Lambda, and the overall contract value has exceeded US$33 billion. Generally speaking, cloud service providers usually have data centers, but the micro-software faces the dilemma of insufficient online computing power. Renting servers from new cloud providers can accelerate the solution of problems because these manufacturers have solved logistics challenges such as obtaining sufficient power and chip supply.
WeChat fell 0.76% on the 2nd and closed at $515.74. NVIDIA rose 0.88%, closing at $188.89, and continued to hit the 6th trading day and found a new record in history. Nebius rose 8.87% and closed at $125.87, which also set a record high in history.
